Σκιρτηταὶ Κουρῆτες, ἐνόπλια βήματα θέντες,

Hard, lean Kouretes, armed marchers divine

 

ποσσίκροτοι, ῥομβηταί, ὀρέστεροι, εὐαστῆρες,

Stomping, whirling, mountain-strong, celestial

 

κρουσιλύραι, παράρυθμοι, ἐπεμβάται ἴχνεσι κούφοι,

Lyre-strikers, rhythmic-stepping, light-footed

 

ὁπλοφόροι, φύλακες, κοσμήτορες, ἀγλαόφημοι,

Armor-bearing guards of the cosmos, gloriously famed,

 

μητρὸς ὀρειομανοῦς συνοπάονες, ὀργιοφάνται·

Mother mountain’s mantic army, Mystery-enlightening,

 

ἔλθοιτ' εὐμενέοντες ἐπ' εὐφήμοισι λόγοισι,

Come, mighty and true, upon well-famed narratives:

 

βουκόλωι εὐάντητοι ἀεὶ κεχαρηότι θυμῶι.

Bull-roarers, defenders, eternally gracious spirits.
