This is a first-pass attempt to translate the Orphic Hymn to Poseidon with the aid of the Liddell-Scott Greek-English Lexicon.
This hymn may provide some comic relief, talking about Poseidon crashing into earth with salty fluid, making earth shake (w/ orgasm?) and swell with pregnancy. The meaning is not clear-cut at first glance, however.
It sounds as though Poseidon is to depicted as blue-haired, on a horse, and holding a bronze/copper trident in his hand, residing in the depths of the sea, broad-chested, accompanied by booming, crashing sounds.
